Designed for the Stage

WING is the companion to the small but powerful Wolfmix W1. It connects to any W1 (MK1, MK2 or MK3) with a single USB cable, and the two devices fuse into one integrated system – modes flow seamlessly from one to the other. WING’s motorised faders complement the W1 touchscreen, and with the same beam engine at the core of both devices, together they drive up to 8 universes of DMX. With a footprint just over an A4 sheet of paper and a weight of 1.5 kg, WING is very easy to carry to any gig.

Faders, Displays and Matrix

Eight motorised faders glide over light guides with RGB LEDs and are topped with capacitive touch caps, joined by a single main fader for overall output. Eight OLED displays clearly identify the parameters of each strip. The 8 x 5 button matrix shows all eight groups at once, and dedicated group buttons expand or filter them. Four encoders – SCROLL, FINE and two assignable – along with the OK/GO and CANCEL buttons and left/right paging buttons keep the most common functions at hand.

Four New Modes

CUE LIST plays through presets in order for songs, scenes or acts, with fade and hold times, automatic cue jumps or MIDI timecode sync. CONTROL lays your fixtures out across the matrix so you can set them with the faders and save the look straight to a preset, with up to 32 individual edits per preset. MAPPING lets you assign W1 features to faders and matrix buttons across four pages. SUBGROUPS divide every group into eight subgroups – you can even split a single fixture, such as the beam and the pixel ring of a moving head. WING also enhances the original W1 modes by bringing the parameters of COLOR FX, MOVE FX and BEAM FX out onto the faders.

MIDI Control

WING works with anything that speaks MIDI. Connect it to a computer over USB-C, load the MIDI map for your software or use its learn mode. Faders and buttons left unmapped send generic MIDI messages, so they can drive external MIDI hardware and software, including audio and video.
