Arvo Pärt is an Estonian composer known for his influential role in contemporary classical music. Since the late 1970s, he has created works in a distinctive minimalist style called tintinnabuli, which he developed himself. Pärt’s music, often inspired by Gregorian chant, includes widely performed pieces such as Fratres, Spiegel im Spiegel, and Für Alina. He has been recognized as one of the world’s most performed living composers for several years. The Arvo Pärt Centre in Laulasmaa celebrates his life and work.
