Norah Jones, born Geethali Shankar on March 30, 1979, is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and musician known for blending jazz, country, blues, folk, and pop in her music. With over 53 million records sold worldwide as of 2023, she rose to international fame with her 2002 debut album "Come Away with Me," which won five Grammy Awards and was certified diamond. Jones has received ten Grammy Awards in total, and Billboard named her the top jazz artist of the 2000s. Her later albums, including "Feels Like Home," "Not Too Late," and "The Fall," all achieved platinum status. She is also noted for her acting debut in the film "My Blueberry Nights." Jones is the daughter of legendary sitarist Ravi Shankar and the half-sister of musicians Anoushka Shankar and Shubhendra Shankar.
