Darinka Rolincová

Dara Rolins, born Darina Gombošová in 1972, is a Slovak recording artist and entrepreneur with a career spanning four decades. She began performing at age nine, starring in the television musical Zázračný autobus, and released her debut album two years later. Throughout the 1980s, Rolins became a popular child and teen singer, releasing several albums and collaborating with Karel Gott on the duet "Fang das Licht," which became a hit in Austria and Germany. Her popularity waned in the 1990s, but Rolins continued recording, including an English-language album in 1996. She made a successful comeback in Slovakia with Sen lásky in 1997 and later embraced dance-pop with albums like What's My Name and D1. She has also released compilations and a live Christmas album. Beyond music, Rolins has served as a judge on talent shows such as Slovensko hľadá SuperStar and X Factor, and appeared in Let's Dance. Her personal life, including media coverage of her Playboy appearance and legal issues, has attracted public attention. Despite controversies, Rolins remains an influential figure in Slovak pop music, most recently releasing the album ETC.
