High quality kalimba made of light solid wood. The Sela Kalimba 21 Maple has a solid body made of maple. The light wood with beautiful grain is one of the most popular tonewoods and is among other things also very often used in drum and guitar construction. Due to its hardness, maple provides a clear, defined tone with accentuated treble. For a particularly pleasant handling, the Sela Kalimba 21 Maple has fine milled out edges on the sides.

The notes of the Sela Kalimba 21 are all on the C major scale and range from the note F3 to E6. Sela Kalimbas with 21 reeds therefore range four notes lower than models with 17 reeds. Since all the notes here also fit together harmonically, even beginners can compose exciting melodies with this instrument in no time at all and accompany or play along with songs written in C major. Due to the higher number of reeds, the playing possibilities are even somewhat greater than with the 17-reed Kalimbas.

Included with the Kalimba is a high-quality case with carrying strap and fitted padding that effectively protects the instrument from damage during storage and transport. Also included is a microfiber cloth for cleaning the Kalimba and a tuning hammer. The latter is needed if you want to retune the instrument. To check the pitch, you can either use a smartphone with a corresponding tuning app or a small clip-on tuner for guitars.
