Grigory Lipmanovich Sokolov, born in 1950, is a renowned Russian pianist who holds Spanish citizenship. Widely regarded as one of the greatest pianists of his generation, his repertoire ranges from Baroque masters like Bach, Couperin, and Rameau to twentieth-century composers such as Schoenberg and Arapov. Sokolov is known for his captivating live performances across Europe, although he does not perform in the UK. He currently resides in Italy.
