The M17 Smart Desktop Player is a whole new chapter in FiiO digital audio players. Its desktop D / A converter, amplifier, power supply, etc. give it output power and sound quality to compete with and possibly outperform highly regarded desktop systems - but in a portable package. Let the M17 redefine what is possible with portable audio players. Each left and right audio channel contains an 8-channel flagship DAC ES9038PRO desktop class. This means that each audio channel has 8 parallel outputs added together for excellent resolution and minimal distortion for extremely clear sound reproduction. Desktop-level amplification also plays an important role in the M17. FiiO and THX have jointly developed the exclusive THX AAA-788 +, an improved version of the original operational amplifier. Compared to the original, the output power is increased by 225% up to 3000 mW per channel with a lower output impedance - which allows you to effortlessly power all types of headphones. There are 4 power levels available on battery power: low, medium, high and headphone mode. In DC mode, the enhanced mode gain is unlocked via headphones with a truly desktop gain level. In a balanced output, the gain can reach up to 16 dB - which allows the M17 to easily control most headphones. The M17 contains two power supplies - a battery power supply and a power supply powered by an external DC power supply. Battery power allows the M17 to be used in situations where there is no access to an electrical outlet. With DC power, the voltage in the analog circuit increases by 35% up to 11.5 V compared to battery power; and the battery remains healthy because it is not used in this mode.
