Eyedea and Abilities was a hip hop duo from Saint Paul, Minnesota, formed in 1999 by rapper Eyedea and DJ Abilities. Known for their philosophical lyrics and innovative blend of hip hop, rock, and electronic music, they became influential figures in the underground rap scene. Their collaborations with artists like Aesop Rock and Sage Francis, along with Eyedea’s roots in battle rap and poetic style, set them apart as a distinctive force in alternative hip hop. The group remained active until Eyedea’s passing in 2010.
