Enya X4 Pro Acoustic Plus — Carbon-Fiber Smart Guitar With Built-In Effects

The Enya X4 Pro Acoustic Plus is a 41-inch carbon-fiber acoustic-electric guitar built for players who want a single instrument they can gig, travel, and record with. The X4 Pro Acoustic Plus pairs a solid carbon-fiber top with the Enya Custom AcousticPlus preamp, onboard effects, and a rechargeable USB-C power system — eliminating the need for a separate effects pedal chain on smaller stages.

What Sets the X4 Pro Acoustic Plus Apart

Most acoustic-electrics in this segment rely on a passive piezo under the saddle. The X4 Pro Acoustic Plus instead integrates a microphone-plus-piezo blend, a reverb engine (room and hall), chorus, and delay directly into the guitar body, with the wet signal routed out through the soundhole so the dry tone stays feedback-safe. An aluminum-alloy rod inside the carbon-fiber neck makes it roughly twice as stiff as a comparable mahogany neck, while the elevated-neck joint relieves downward pressure on the top for improved resonance.

Body Construction — Stable Tone in Any Climate

Carbon fiber is the headline material here, and it changes how the guitar behaves off the bench. Unlike a traditional spruce top that can crack in dry winter air or a rosewood back that swells in humid summer months, the X4 Pro Acoustic Plus body holds its setup across temperature swings and humidity changes.

• Body Size: 41-inch (104 cm) AJ Plus cutaway — full 4/4 scale with upper-bout access for high-fret soloing
• Top Material: Solid acoustic carbon fiber — resistant to dents, scratches, and climate-driven cracking
• Weight: 2.86 kg — light enough for long sets without shoulder fatigue
• Lower Bout: 400 mm — wide enough to push air for a fuller low-end response

Neck and Playability — Built for Gigging Hands

The neck profile on this model is engineered for players who switch between rhythm chording and lead work higher up the fretboard. Round-end frets eliminate the sharp fret-edge bite that wears down the fretting hand during long sessions, and the Tusq nut keeps string action consistent slot-to-slot.

• Neck Material: Carbon fibre with internal aluminum-alloy reinforcement — roughly 2x stiffer than a comparable mahogany neck
• Fretboard Material: Richlite — a dense composite that holds frets tight and resists warping
• Scale Length: 654 mm — standard full-size acoustic tension and string spacing
• Nut Width: 43 mm — comfortable for fingerstyle without crowding flatpickers
• Frets: 20 with rounded ends — smooth under the fretting hand during bends and slides

Electronics and Hardware — Stage-Ready Out of the Box

The AcousticPlus preamp is the reason this guitar carries the "smart" label. Plugging in mutes the acoustic soundhole output and routes the full signal — including effects — through the DI to the front of house, eliminating the feedback risk that plagues most stage acoustics.

• Preamp: Enya Custom AcousticPlus — built-in volume, mic/piezo blend, reverb, chorus, and delay controls
• Tuner: Onboard chromatic tuner — accessible via a single button press on the preamp face
• Tuning Pegs: Gold die-cast — 18:1 gear ratio for precise tuning stability
• Strings: Elixir 16052 (.012–.053) — coated phosphor bronze for longer tone life between changes
• Power: Rechargeable via USB-C — no 9V batteries to swap mid-set

Who the Enya X4 Pro Acoustic Plus Is Built For

The Enya X4 Pro Acoustic Plus is the right choice for gigging solo artists, traveling singer-songwriters, and bedroom producers who need one guitar that handles open-mic nights, festival stages, and travel days without a second thought. Players who layer acoustic tracks in a DAW will appreciate the balanced bright tone, which sits well alongside a warmer dreadnought in a double-tracked arrangement. Beginners benefit from the low action and included hard case, while intermediate players get a built-in effects engine that replaces a starter pedalboard. Purists who insist on a traditional spruce-and-mahogany tone will likely want to look elsewhere — the carbon-fiber voice is its own thing, not a wood imitation.

Enya Music and the Carbon-Fiber Guitar Category

Enya Music has positioned itself as the No.1 best-selling smart electric guitar brand in 2024–2025, building its reputation around carbon-fiber construction and integrated electronics rather than traditional luthiery. The X4 Pro Acoustic Plus sits in the middle of that lineup, sharing its carbon-fiber top, aluminum-reinforced neck, and AcousticPlus preamp architecture with the higher-end Luca Stricagnoli signature Black Hole edition — making it a practical entry point into the brand's smart-guitar ecosystem.
