Caroline Polachek is an American singer, songwriter, and producer known for her innovative approach to pop music. Originally from Connecticut, she rose to prominence as a cofounder of the indie pop duo Chairlift, which gained recognition in the Brooklyn music scene with the hit "Bruises". After Chairlift disbanded, Polachek launched a successful solo career, releasing acclaimed albums such as Pang and Desire, I Want To Turn Into You. Her work is noted for its avant-pop style, and she has collaborated with artists including Blood Orange, Charli XCX, and Flume. Polachek has also contributed as a songwriter for Beyoncé.
