Cacophony was an American heavy metal band founded in 1986 by guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Becker. Known for their technical guitar work, the band released two studio albums through Shrapnel Records before disbanding in 1989. Afterward, both musicians pursued successful solo careers and joined other notable bands.
