Benjamin Charles Harper, born in 1969, is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for blending blues, folk, soul, reggae, and rock. Celebrated for his expressive guitar work, powerful vocals, and dynamic live shows, Harper also stands out for his social activism. He has released twelve studio albums, mostly on Virgin Records, and has toured worldwide. Harper is a three-time Grammy winner, recognized for his contributions across pop, soul gospel, and blues. His collaboration with Charlie Musselwhite, "No Mercy in This Land," won Song of the Year at the 40th Blues Music Awards.
