Reloop TAPE Gravador digital portátil

Reloop TAPE – Pocket USB Recorder for DJs

The Reloop TAPE is a portable digital recorder built for DJs who want to capture mix sets without dragging a laptop to the booth. Roughly the size of a cassette tape, it writes audio straight to any USB stick or external hard drive in MP3 format. Plug in a USB drive, connect a mixer, hit record, and the file is ready to share with fans the moment the gig ends.

What makes this model different

Most portable recorders force you to navigate menus or carry a computer — the TAPE skips all of that with a three-step workflow: USB in, audio in, record. The smart thru port solves a real booth problem: when a mixer has no spare record output, the unit passes signal through to the amp while simultaneously capturing it. A phono/line switch with a GND grounding post also lets you archive vinyl, though reviewers recommend sticking to live mixes because the recorder writes only lossy MP3.

Recording specs and connectivity — DJ-friendly signal chain

Built around simplicity rather than studio flexibility, the unit records in MP3 at switchable 192 or 320 kbps and writes one continuous file — one reviewer logged over 8 hours of uninterrupted capture on a single USB stick. The 3.5 mm stereo jack input accepts line-level from a mixer or phono-level from a turntable, and the matching thru output keeps the monitoring chain intact.

Who the instrument is built for

Bedroom DJs, mobile DJs, and vinyl collectors who need a no-fuss way to archive sets between gigs will find this recorder a practical fit. Beginners benefit from the three-step workflow — no menus, no level knobs, no software to install. It serves as the right choice for anyone without a dedicated audio interface who wants to fill the gap between a phone voice memo and a full DAW session with a single button press.
