Studio One® 5, thanks to its performance and simple operation, will quickly become your creative partner, whether in the studio or on stage. When you start the program, the introductory page displays all the important information and a kind of signpost for starting the creative process immediately. You'll also find a clear list of all your songs, projects, and personalized user profiles.

Song Page contains everything you need to record, compose, edit and mix with a complete set of virtual instruments, effects, groundbreaking arranging tools and an advanced score editor based on the award-winning Notion application.

Studio One is a tool that will accompany you from the initial idea to the final mix, mastering, digital distribution and live production. You can easily transfer all the usual work procedures to the stage. THIS is real creativity without borders.

Original drag-and-drop interface

Studio One is a pioneer of "drag and drop", this style of work is the main principle in the design version 5. Sound loops, virtual instruments,

plug-in effects and even presets can be dragged into your session from an innovative browser. Copy FX strings from one channel to another easily by simply dragging the mouse cursor. Convert MIDI to audio or audio to MIDI in the same way. Again a simple drag and drop. With Studio One, you will work faster than ever before, which will greatly facilitate the creative process.

Concentrate on composing

Modern composers need modern electronic tools for creating sheet music. The new score display in Studio One combines the features of the award-winning PreSonus Notion notation software with the performance and advanced features of Studio One 5. You can view and work with multiple voices at once, use the symbol palette to change track dynamics, add triols, tremolo and more during playback. In the music editor, you can choose from three views for each track. The menu includes a classic notation, rhythm notation for the drum and a conventional "piano roll" display. However, it is also possible to display all three writing styles at the same time, which offers a unique flexibility that you will not find so often in the digital world.

Produce without restriction

Forget about laborious transposition, editing, pasting, copying and confusing orientation in tracks when using many tools or samples. The new Scratch Pads function serves as a "notebook or sketch", where you can first "dirty" try the arrangement, put aside unused tracks here, try alternative arrangements here with the possibility of using all editing functions as in the basic time track of the project. Everything can be immediately applied to the project and back. No other program offers such advanced arranging functions, harmonic editing, inspiring virtual instruments and functions that make it easier to write songs like Studio One 5. Thanks to the new Aux inputs, you can easily connect your hardware instruments such as synthesizers and drum machines to your sound palette. Dust off your old TX81Z or Portastudio and enjoy their unique sounds again with the same ease as with Studio One's native virtual instruments.

Analog sound with digital versatility

With a completely redesigned set of plug-ins and effects, Studio One 5 literally kicks the sound of your mixes. Any plug-in with drive distortion on the input phase now includes analog spatial modeling to give your sound saturation and the famous "analog heat" whenever desired. The unique plug-in of Studio One Pipeline XT will offer a collection of popular boutique and vintage analog signal processors. Everything is as easy to use as any other software plug-in. The editor on each channel allows you to create complex effect strings. Thanks to the Splitter tool, you can run multiple plug-ins in parallel on one channel. Mix Engine FX offers an emulation of classic analog consoles, with which you can influence your mix across individual channels or on any bus. It is not just a simple stereo bus plug-in, but a multi-source processing that brings sound features such as harmonic saturation of the input gain inspired by vintage consoles.

On stage without fear

Studio One 5 will be your companion not only in the studio, but also on the stage or in the live stream of your performance. With the new Show Page preset, create a playlist of songs you've already prepared in Studio One in the studio, combining live instruments with pre-recorded backing tracks and virtual instruments. Each playlist song can have its own instrumentation. The tracks in your set can be reorganized on the go easily and quickly in a drag-and-drop manner. As soon as your live production begins, turn on "Performance View" with large and clearly customized controls that let you control selected parameters in real time, right on the stage.
