Pasadena PDC-200 Black Guitarra dreadnought

Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar With a Warm, Balanced Voice

The Pasadena PDC-200 Black is a dreadnought acoustic guitar built for beginners stepping into serious playing. A spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides produces the warm, balanced tone that defines folk and blues strumming. The black satin finish and tortoise pickguard give it a stage-ready look that hides the wear of daily practice. This model ships ready to play, with phosphor bronze strings and a fully adjustable setup out of the box.

What Sets This Dreadnought Apart

Two design choices lift this instrument above typical beginner dreadnoughts. A single-cutaway body shape is uncommon at this price tier and unlocks the upper register for lead lines and melodic playing. The Black Richlite fingerboard is a dense composite that resists humidity swings better than traditional rosewood — a practical advantage for bedroom and rehearsal spaces without climate control.

Tonewood Combination for a Classic Acoustic Sound

The body is built around the most time-tested tonewood pairing in acoustic design.

• Top Material: Spruce — clear, articulate attack with strong projection for strumming and fingerpicking.
• Mahogany back and sides add warmth and a focused midrange, balancing the spruce top's brightness.
• Finish: Satin — low-gloss surface that feels fast under the strumming arm.
• Tortoise pickguard protects the top from pick wear with a classic visual accent.

Neck Profile and Fretboard Built for Comfortable Practice

Neck dimensions and fretboard materials support players still developing hand strength.

• Neck Material: Nato — stable mahogany-family wood that resists warping.
• Black Richlite fingerboard — a smooth, dense composite that stays stable through humidity changes.
• Nut Width: 43 mm — comfortable width for chord work and fingerstyle.
• Scale length of 650 mm delivers standard dreadnought string tension with accurate intonation across 20 frets.

Hardware and Setup That Keep the Guitar Playing

Hardware and factory setup are designed to stay stable and easy to maintain.

• Chrome die-cast tuners with sealed gears hold tuning reliably between practice sessions.
• Bridge: Rosewood — supports clean string vibration and efficient energy transfer to the soundboard.
• Truss Rod: Adjustable — allows neck relief to be corrected as humidity changes.
• Phosphor bronze strings come factory-installed for a warm, balanced tone.

The Right Choice for Beginners and Returning Players

This instrument is the right choice for first-time buyers who want a dreadnought they can grow into rather than out of. The cutaway design supports players who plan to explore lead lines beyond basic strumming patterns. Songwriters, students, and weekend campfire players will all find the warm mahogany-and-spruce voice adaptable enough for folk, blues, country, and light rock. The satin finish and rounded neck profile make long practice sessions easier on the hands, while the adjustable truss rod means the guitar can be dialed in as technique develops.
