The U857QL is the long-neck version of the U857Q cardioid condenser gooseneck microphone, providing extended reach for podium and conferencing installations where the microphone base is positioned further from the speaker. The additional length makes the U857QL suitable for deep lecterns, raised speaking platforms, and conference table configurations where a shorter gooseneck would not reach the speaker's position comfortably.

Extended Length for Greater Reach

The longer gooseneck neck of the U857QL accommodates deeper lecterns and taller podium configurations without requiring the speaker to lean toward the microphone. All acoustic specifications including cardioid polar pattern, frequency response, and self-noise remain identical to the U857Q; only the neck length differs.

Phantom Power and Installation

Operating on 11–52V phantom power with XLR connectivity, the U857QL integrates directly into standard installed sound systems. The threaded base is compatible with common podium mounting flanges, and the captive cable provides clean cable routing in permanent installations.
