The Rode Boompole is a precision-balanced aluminium boompole built for film, TV, and field recording. It telescopes from a compact 85 cm to a full 3.3 m reach, letting boom operators position shotgun microphones above the action without intruding on the frame. The five-section design uses an ultra-smooth twist-lock system that holds each segment firmly in place during long takes.

Built for Daily Production Use

At 940 g, this model stays comfortable to hold overhead for extended shoots. Industry-standard 3/8"-16 threaded top mates with most shockmounts and mic clips, including Rode SM3 and RMS mounts, so it drops straight into an existing kit. Aluminium construction keeps the price accessible while still delivering the rigidity needed for clean, stable audio capture.
