Keeley Caverns V2 is an excellent reverb and delay pedal in one compact unit. All three reverb modes are very usable. The spring reverb may not sound exactly like a traditional Fender-style spring tank, but it has a strong, musical character and is the mode I use the most. The shimmer and modulated reverbs are smooth and atmospheric, while the delay delivers a warm, tape-style sound with dark repeats and optional modulation. In my already wide and ambient rig, Caverns excels at adding subtle space and texture. The only potential downsides for some players are the lack of tap tempo and the non-Fender-style spring sound — both of which I was aware of before buying and don’t consider negatives for my own use.
