The full-frame version of the ALPINA RAM QuattroflexLite (Q-LITE) V has a varioflex glass that is self-tinting (photochromatic) and ensures that the trail is always easy to see, even in changing light conditions. The technology also significantly increases the contrast, makes colours appear richer and provides sharper vision. This allows the eyes to remain focussed for longer so that they are less strained and perform better in crucial moments. With the malleable nose pads, the ALPINA RAM can be optimally adjusted to any nose. Together with the rubber-coated headband, it ensures that the sports glasses sit comfortably and securely.

100 % UV-A, -B, -C protection

• All Alpina lenses provide 100 % UV-A-, -B-, -C-protection and thus guarantee excellent eye protection.

Cylindrical lenses

• Cylindrical lenses allow a flat, straight-line goggle construction. Compared to a spherical lens, the distance to the eyes is smaller. Thermoblock and Fogstop effectively prevent icing or fogging of the glasses and ensure a clear view.

Fogstop

• All Alpina ski goggles have a Fogstop coating. This is not smooth but rough - on a microscopic level. This prevents moisture from forming a closed layer. So the lens doesn’t fog up and the view remains clear.

Mirror

• Mirror is a lens on which multiple reflective layers are applied. They provide protection from harsh glares and infrared light. Mirror is not only the feature of a highly functional lens, it’s an element of style.

Optimized Airflow

• Heavily domed lenses envelop the face perfectly. They protect the eyes from draughts and cold and improve vision. The indirect air flow also prevents the lenses from fogging up.

Quattroflex Lite

• Seeing contrast with clarity is a basic feature of sports goggles for ALPINA. This is why we developed the contrast-enhancing Q-Lite technology, which makes contrasts more visible on the trail and the road, helps colours appear richer and provides sharper vision. This allows the eyes to remain focussed for longer so that they are less strained and perform better in crucial moments.

Varioflex

• Varioflex is a lens technology in which the lens tint automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to radiation, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect. When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lens becomes brighter again. This process takes seconds. The result: a lens for a wide variety of light conditions.
