• The brake levers are designed for small children's hands. ACADEMY bikes were designed by the German company S'COOL in cooperation with the German Institute for Orthopaedics, Osteopathy and Sports Medicine.
• The Q-factor describes the overall width of the cranks and is important when it comes to the efficiency of the pedaling. The Q-factor should match the rider's step width (the legs are not into an A-position when pedaling) for more power and efficiency. ACADEMY bikes offer one of the lowest Q-factors and are optimally designed for children to pedal.

Under the direction of Dr. Andreas Elsner has succeeded in developing ultra-light junior bikes that meet the latest ergonomic requirements. Comfort and ergonomics are ensured thanks to deep and narrow bottom bracket to optimalize movement and ergonomics. Short cranks and the upright sitting position make it possible to put feet on the ground at any time and still ensure an ergonomic knee position while driving. The shaping of the frame is adapted for children for easier get on the bike.
