Squier Sonic Stratocaster HT MN Arctic White — Classic Strat Feel in a Hardtail Build

The Fender Squier Sonic Stratocaster HT MN Arctic White is a streamlined take on the iconic Stratocaster design, built for players who want unmistakable Fender style without the complexity of a tremolo system. This model pairs a thin, lightweight poplar body with a slim "C"-shaped maple neck, delivering the comfortable, familiar feel that has made the Strat a stage and bedroom staple for decades. A trio of Squier single-coil pickups provides the bright, articulate voice associated with classic Stratocaster tone, while the 6-saddle hardtail bridge keeps tuning stable through long practice sessions and performances. Built with reliability in mind, this model appeals to those seeking clean tone and straightforward design.

Standout Features That Set This Strat Apart

Distinctive in the Squier lineup, its top-load hardtail bridge with block saddles allows for precise string height and intonation adjustments, removing the tuning headaches often found with traditional tremolo. Squier single-coil pickups, voiced in-house at Fender, offer crisp, articulate response in all five positions. Sealed die-cast tuners add an extra layer of tuning stability, ensuring the YRS-23 is dependable for consistent playing sessions.

Neck and Fingerboard — Built for Smooth, Confident Playing

How a guitar feels during chords, leads, and longer sessions depends on the neck and fingerboard. The slim "C"-shaped maple neck with satin urethane finish minimizes friction for easy movement, and a maple fingerboard lends clarity and brightness to every note. Players will find that narrow tall frets aid in clean bends and precise articulation, while a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius strikes a balance between comfortable chords and effortless bends.

• Neck Material: Maple — bright tonal response with strong attack
• Fingerboard Material: Maple — adds snap and clarity to note definition
• With a fingerboard radius of 241 mm (9.5"), the instrument offers versatility for both chords and bends.
• Nut Width: 42 mm (1.650") — comfortable grip for most hand sizes
• Number of Frets: 21 — vintage-style fret count for classic Strat feel

Body and Hardware — Lightweight, Stable, Stage-Ready

Body materials and hardware choices impact comfort, balance, and tuning reliability. Poplar construction keeps the guitar lightweight, while a gloss polyurethane finish defends against everyday wear. By eliminating tremolo-related tuning drift, the hardtail bridge promotes tuning stability, and sealed die-cast tuners maintain pitch even during energetic performances or changes in temperature.

• The poplar body is a lightweight tonewood that helps prevent playing fatigue during long sessions.
• Body Finish: Gloss Polyurethane — durable, polished surface for everyday use
• Bridge: 6-Saddle Top-Load Hardtail with Block Saddles — stable tuning and individual string adjustment
• Tuning Machines: Sealed Die-Cast — smooth, accurate tuning action
• Scale Length: 648 mm (25.5") — classic Strat string tension and feel

Electronics — Classic Strat Tonal Range

Pickup configuration and switching define the Strat's signature sound. Three ceramic single-coil pickups capture a full range of classic Strat tones, spanning from a bright bridge bite to warm neck smoothness. A 5-way blade switch opens up familiar pickup combinations, and two tone controls give precise tonal shaping, letting you dial in the bridge pickup’s character independently from the neck and middle positions.

• Pickup Configuration: SSS (three single-coils) — full classic Strat tonal palette
• Bridge Pickup: Ceramic Single-Coil — bright, cutting lead tones
• Neck Pickup: Ceramic Single-Coil — warm, smooth rhythm voice
• With Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck/Middle), and Tone 2 (Bridge), you have independent tone shaping for each position.
• Switching: 5-Position Blade — access to all classic Strat pickup combinations
