EMG 81-8

Active humbucker pickup for 8-string electric guitar from EMG. Based off the popular EMG 81, the 81-8 utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to produce a detailed tone with incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position of your eight string guitar, this pickup will make your leads and low strings slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Other recommended pairings include the 81-8/808 setup and the versatile 81-8/60-8 combo. EMG's solderless wiring makes installing your guitar pickups easier than ever.

Když jsem si před pár lety kupoval EMG 707X a 707, tak jsem byl trošku zklamaný. Čekal jsem víc o proti kopii SD - Blackout Duncan Designed. Zvuk sice čitelný, ale takový chlupatější. Časem jsem tomu zabarvení přišel na chuť. Opravdu se blížil pasivnímu snímači. Později jsem vyzkoušel na šestistrunce 81 a 85. Ze zvuku jsem byl nadšený. Po koupi Schecter Hellraiser C-8, kde jsou oba snímače 808 jsem byl rozhodnutý vyzkoušet osmistrunnou verzi 81-8. Není pravda, že by se zvuk sléval. Já hraji více riffy, než klasický djent, takže to pěkně "řeže". S lampovým kombem se mi rozhodně zvuk zlepšil. Možná má malinko umělý zvuk. Je to ale i typem kytary a dřevem. Se simulací při nahrávání mám parádní zvuk a hlavně univerzální zapojení.
